tHK: Starlit Return

I LOVE HOW THIS TURNED OUT!!! Both the pic and the rp lol They re so cute lol such a fun scene to draw :3 had fun with the back ground and stuff and this time i actually got Akili's eyes right lol, i plan on drawing at least one more scene for this rp before school starts :3 though i might not post it right when i draw it since ill be waiting for that part of the rp to finish like i did for this

She nodded in response. They had now reached the end of the boarder. Akili searched over the land, using her gift to make sure nothing was nearing the boarder around them. She let her hearing close in around her and then she turned to Badiri. "Let's cut through the territory to get back to camp....unless you want to go the long way around..."

<badiri>
"good idea" he laughed, why would he have wanted to go around the entire territory? It took him a few moments as they began to walk towards the camp to realise that sarcasm had been in the shecats voice. "so," he said, getting over his embaressment "When do you think this drought will be over? this heat is killing me! I mean, i hope it doesnt last untill fall, that would be such a apin, im not sure the water level will stay if that happens!"

Akili giggled as the realization came into Badiri's voice. It felt good to laugh, she couldn't remember the last time she was talking to another friend like this. She nodded at Badiri's comment. "I'm not sure. It's defiantly taking a toll on the land." She flicked her tail to the parched ground around them. "I guess all we can do is hope that rain comes soon. I have to say, if all the land turned to mud right now, I wouldn't mind."

Badiri nodded as he replied "Rain would be nice, not to fond of mud though. Though i guess id rather have that than the water running out or the prey fleeing the heat into another tribes territory." He said as he continued to pd towards their camp, the long blades of grass almost crunching beneith his feet as he walked, being a clear sign of the drought.

Akili nodded and for a while they walked along in silence. Every now and then she would catch herself stealing glances at her friend. She smiled at the ground and suddenly flicked her head up. "Wanna race back?" Her blue eyes glinted in the new moonlight. She nudged Badiri and took off across the territory, her laughter echoing in the dry air.

Badiri laughed as he raced after the shecat his warm orange colored pelt turning a silvery shade in the moonlight as he ran, kicking up bits of dirt. As he ran he slowly began to catch up with her,but still he watched as the moon reflected against the water of the lake as they ran past. Though this summers drought was a bad thing, he felt nothing could ruin this night.

Akili looked over her shoulder, paws still kicking up the dry earth. She felt an udder sense of calm and for the first time...courage. She giggled and whipped around, racing back to double up with Badiri. The slender she cat nudged her friend lightly on the shoulder as they ran.
